Canadian Tuxedo?

So, I got a remark that since I was wearing basically all over denim I was wearing a Canadian Tuxedo? Hmm.. At least I was comfortable enough to wander around a flea market all day! I did however commit a fashion no-no by wearing the same tank TWO days in a row. Hope you don't mind it. I needed layers for the odd weather we had yesterday. I was a bit cold earlier in the day but then after a couple hours the sun was shining and I had to take my chambray shirt off and tie it around my waist, thereby making a slight homage to the 90s. My second fashion no-no of the day. I know. *sigh. There were TOO many wonderful things at this gigantic flea market but I was a very good girl and only spent a whopping $18 total! Plus I got to whip out my uber cute foldable tote bag to carry all my finds. Now.. ready yourself for a picture heavy post!

I will be in this oufit again since I was ridiculously comfortable and still felt so put together.

Here's a closer shot of my arrowhead necklace from F21. Its definitely one of my favorite pieces.

I need a pedicure since the only polish left is on my big toes and they're only half covered. Yikes!

Ball jars! I wanted to buy the whole lot of them but my dad talked me out of it.

Such pretty colors! My dad and I are also planning on using some of those big abalone shells as planters for succulents and cacti!

This locker set-up gave me the interesting idea of having this as storage in a play/rec room where certain lockers can be left open to highlight the items placed in them! I also love all the little dwarves lining the bottom. So whimsical.

I still have no idea what these metal trays are for but I just love this picture with the green truck in the back!
Piles and piles of metal letters in every color imaginable!

Pretty Pretty shells and starfish

Old tins perfect for organizing or even as planters!

The finds that came home with me! A cardigan, sheer shirt with velvet accents and some druzy stones for jewelry crafting.
To finish an already great day... Sushi buffet! Yum!

My mom's filled up plate.

After I got back from the flea market and went out back to do a little gardening, I came back to this. I think someone was trying to send me a message on the patio stairs via ten toys. hmmm... wonder what it could have been? :)

Weekend Casual

On the weekends I either go super casual or dress it up depending upon my mood. Lately I've been on a comfort kick so the simpler the better. That does not mean that I neglect my accessories though. I think it's a lifelong love here to stay with me through thick and thin. And I don't mind one bit! Well, this is going to be a quick post since I'm off to brunch with besties and am already running low on time. Have a wonderful day all! :)

A better view of my shirt and necklaces with out my eyelet scarf and purse.
Can you spot the maltipoo? :)

To add to my obsession with maps is this beautiful piece that has so much detail. Along the metal rim is a description of time zones and the globe even spins!

This little deer is so cute!

This scarf was a clearance find at the Lucky Brand Store a year ago. I fell in love with it once I saw the three different kinds of eyelet lace and the blues of the scarf. So pretty!

Denim, Lace and Maxi Dresses

I know I'm a little late to this trend but I only recently rediscovered a jean jacket from my high school days. Very cool for shizzle! It was the perfect addition to my outfit for some overtime at the office. (I know... ICK.) BUT, I was beyond comfy in my maxi dress and still a little more put together with the structure of the jean jacket. Since there already was such a busy print and fancy lace I kept the accessories to a minimum. It was an impulse I actually had to keep in check since I naturally reach for necklaces. I satisfied my accessory addiction by donning a set of earrings and bracelet that was a gift from my aunt. (I forgot that I had the name necklace on from the night before...) Turquoise accents and denim always seem to go hand in hand.
On a totally unrelated note: I discovered that my fuzz-ball resembles the cauliflower toy he has. Need proof? Scroll down and see for yourself :)

Turquoise, Denim and feathers. A wonderful combination that will definitely be seen on this blog again.

The lace of these shoes definitely needed one coat of a scotch guard for white shoes.
You can get the scotch guard spray at a Payless Shoes Store.

 I brings you cauliflower...

 Cauliflower head! :)

Chicken Dinners...

I know there's no picture of a chicken dinner. But that was what I had last night at a union meeting for work. I may have been a teensy bit underdressed for the Hilton and had planned on wearing an awesome deep purple dress but... well laziness hit. So I just decided to wear what I had on for work earlier and swap out the shoes and earrings for a fancier option. I looked trendy but maybe not so event appropriate. At least I was comfy. :)

Flower Shop Top

     Hello lovelies :)

Just a quick post with my work attire. Wore my new shirt from H & M. I actually wanted one from the Zara store but couldn't part with the $140 big ones, even if it was for the perfect floral top. *sigh
Sooo... you can imagine my happy surprise when I saw this one at H & M. Honestly, I just picked it up and went straight to the registers. That's how bad I wanted it.
Wore this shirt with the same ol' pants I usually wear to work, a coral tank, mint belt, hunter green coat and brown sandals. Of course I accessorized with two necklaces, three bracelets, two rings and a pair of earrings with a floral motif to play off the pattern on the shirt. That's not too much, right? This "quick" post is getting long... so here you go!

This picture makes me laugh since my fuzzball looked like he was practicing the "stop, drop, and roll" routine. A blurry mess!

Now, he's playing "hide and seek". Can you spot him?

A better shot of the necklaces. One trick I use when wearing multiple necklaces and not wanting them to tangle is to wear one on the inside of the shirt and the other "outside" the collar. Same illusion, no knots.

These earrings seem to be made for this shirt.

Sorry the picture is off kilter. I don't have eyes on the back of my head so this is the best I could do to get a shot of the back of the shirt.

Rings, bracelets, maltipoo.

Minty goodness. :)

Do you know how comfy and tough these shoes are? I've jogged across a four lane street in these without falling!

There are tiny little studs on the ankle strap. Must get a better picture of that!

 Come....

 Play...

 With...

 Meee.....
