Comfort and Warmth

I'm sure you can deduce from the title what my main focus was getting dressed this AM to go to work. The oversized sweater is one of my favorites and since I was wearing so many warm colors, I decided to keep it in the same family when it came to my shoes. Of course I spared you all the whole matchy-matchy by using similar colors and not all ONE color. I will never be able to pull that off but am very impressed when I see others do it in a not-so-tacky manner. I also included a bunch of shots of the shoes because well... it's all in the details isn't it?

My maltipoo now knows exactly how to take outfit photos. He's mocking me by standing sideways too.
What a sassy little furball!

I love how this photo really highlights all the colors I had on today.

 Shoes...

So adorable! *sigh

In the Limelight

So, this outfit is pretty much outside of my comfort zone but still quite comfy in fit. A couple of things that I never imagined I would ever wear are all components of this outfit. One... Neon. My reason for trying? Since I have already worn all the colors in my crayon box, I have now moved onto my highlighters. :) I can now say I have worn a lime-neon-flourescent hue. Second... uber bling. The necklace I have on under my collar is not only bedazzled with stones everywhere you can see, it is also in the shape of a rounder pan collar. Yes, I am wearing two collars. Two different collars. Rebel.
The only thing I would improve upon with this outfit is finding a way to make the green sweater less frumpy. I thought about belting it but at 5:15 in the morning, my fashion sense was a little muggy.

The fit of the sweater is definitely looking frumpy here. A belt would have made a big difference.

Bbbbbbbbllllliiiinnnnggggg.... Blinding no?

This is my ultimate favorite of the three map bags I have! Shhhhh.... don't tell the others.

~Anchors Away~

If you guessed that I went for a nautical theme for my outfit today, you were spot on! This is definitely how I can have fun with what I wear and one of the ways I put outfits together. From the anchor pattern on my shirt, the sailor jacket, metallic hardware on the shoes and the map purse I used; these details definitely should have been hints to the inspiration behind this outfit.

This is the "jacket on" look.

Close-up of the front of the sailor jacket.

I love the flap on the back of the sailor jacket. It ups the cuteness factor by like 1000%, No?

 Jacket off..... purse on.

I wanted to belt the top but it's a crop top and looked a little funny. Any suggestions?

Pearl earrings... keeping with the theme of the high seas...

Did I mention that these shoes have the softest leather ever?!
